Task 1: Design Realisation

This week we worked on our own exhibitions to meet the following criteria ....

1.  Work on your own for the exhibition

2.  Make a list of your proposed exhibition works

3.  Itemise:

• •  Dimensions
• •  Display requirements (hanging / floor space / special FX / audio / video)
• •  A short description of the concept
• •  The name of the piece
• •  Materials used

4.  Save this as a Word doc and copy to the SHARE folder for staff to PRINT group who will design a template

Helmet Cover

• 20cm x 30 cm
• mac set up for web display - no audio, 3 plinths to display 3 helmets with covers, floor space, plinths to be placed near mac, behind mac, pin-board to display other illustrations and development process
• People can see the final product on plinths and order from web page, the process is displayed behind .. a working representation of what we have completed.

• The concept is to feature the work I have completed, displaying my skills to the viewer

Research:

Meeting with Paul and Katelyn I wanted to explore and expand the pin-board idea. Thankfully everyone is happy to run with the idea as it provides a visually exciting element to the project. The idea is to display the process, from simple beginnings and ideas displayed with original templates, post-it notes to final prints. Paul suggested we make the pin-board look like a serial killer board with thread connecting the ideas ... I like it. I thought we could also use Queenies concept and have the string on the pin-board start from the hall and run along the hall to the room and then the board.

Here the string joins locations on a map, it is suggested you use "map string".

The pin-board needs to be an amalgamation of serial killer, frantic display and a flow chart, where the ideas flow, from left to right.
